The Force is Strong With This One
The reason I write is about a video I filmed on my mobile phone. After contacting Laura on Facebook, she kindly suggested I post it up here so others could view it and give opinions.

My 10 year old son and I were returning home from the local shop and a craft fell out of the sky, took shape as it fell then proceeded to hover above our heads. Two beams of light, one green one purple, came in front of me, they were wavering, not straight. They danced around over me then went back up into the craft. It spun for a while then took off at rapid speed straight back up into the bright cloud it came from.

I captured it as it began to fall, as it took shape, the lights, and it hovering and spinning, but although my Mobile's battery was full it failed as soon as the craft came closer.

I would be interested to hear all views on this footage.

It's hard to tell from the film because it could be far away, but about how big would you say the object was? And how long did the encounter last after the phone got shut off? What prompted you to whip out your phone and start filming?
 
I admit to be useless on measurements but the object looked roughly 5ft from tip to tail.

After the phone died it just hovered there in front of us, it continued spinning for a good five minutes then just shot back up in a straight line back into the white sky it fell from.

I started filming because I thought it was going to hit the ground and might cause damage to the surrounding houses or cars as I didn't know what it was. Once it fell further and took that L shape I carried on filming until the phone died more in shock than anything else.
 
Thanks Morgana for the posting your video. Very unusual sighting for sure, looking at it I kind of see a propeller or some thing gyrating on the right side of the object once it stabilize from what seem like a free fall,, I could be mistaken as it is not very clear. Was the object silent, can you remember hearing any sound.

The cloud seem to be cumulus which are usually pretty low, it is easy to get the altitude of the cloud from your local weather station as it is all recorded. With the date, time and location you can easily find it on line.

Hi Laurentien,

There was no sound at all, nothing. I live in a quiet welsh village so even traffic noise is rarely heard unless a car pulls into the street. It was a free fall, it started off as a black dot in the sky and then formed as it fell. I'll give that a go about researching the cloud altitude and see what I can come up with. When it dropped and was hovering it didn't sem that far away as I could see it the back end rotating.

Well, it is definitely the darndest thing I've ever seen!
 
At the very beginning it looks like a person beneath a parachute to me. Then it started changing further and took a whole different form. Very weird.

It was weird. The corner of the building in the video is my house so this happened practically on my doorstep. All sorts of things went through my mind as it fell. A chunk of space debris maybe, or something falling off a plane, the last thing I thought it would do was sit there and hover the way it did. Then there was the way the way it left, Straight up, no deviation at all, just ...up... and rapidly. Very weird day that was.

At first i also seen it as a parachute kind of thing and then obviously not as film proceeded. I see the purple colour beam also . Very strange. Wondering if any one else saw it .

Many questions raised. Why your area , that exact spot , why the beams. Is it scanning or gathering with those beams. Without giving your location away.Which is the biggest Welsh city to you?

There was no one else around only my son and myself so I doubt anyone else saw it unfortunately, at least not in the direct vicinity. There was nothing in the papers about it at all.

The nearest biggest city to me would be Swansea, but I can't answer the other questions as I have no idea either.

I saw the light too! This footage remind me of a video I saw a month or so ago about a witch that was seen by many police officers in Mexico.

Interesting footage. Can I ask if you where pointing your camera towards the sun? I ask because of the high contrast and lens flare (red line) that appears (incidentally the film is called SUNP0022).
Not that I want to appear doubting of what you saw, but it did cross my mind that I've seen similar things on camera phones before when you point them at the sun.....they over compensate and the high contrast point (i.e. the sun) becomes black like this. fwiw
Having said that, there does appear to be a lot of weird stuff over swansea recently....will have to try and find the link but I'm sure I read of someone reporting the same sort of sighting last year. Will see if I can find the link.
