First Batch Of Bone Broth...

The Force is Strong With This One
Hey all...

Okay so my first batch of bone broth is on the lowest setting in my slow cooker. So it's been about 12 hours, and when I checked it the next day the water was boiling.... I have read this isn't best and it shouldn't be boiling. Its on the lowest setting. So curious if this means the batch isnt as healing?

Thanks much

As far as I am concern, the water is always boiling and the level of my stove is close to minimum.

I don't remember reading that it should not boil.

Thanks. It's not like boiling boiling, but a low boil. Again I'm a newbie and was watching videos and reading something about it not boiling, but I could totally be wrong, cross referencing something else that shouldnt boil. Ahh the joins of my first bone broth. : :D

The idea is for it to simmer, not boil. So you should see some activity on the surface of the broth, but it shouldn't be strong bubbling. If it was at a full boil the whole time, it doesn't necessarily mean your batch is ruined. It may be more of a taste or appearance thing than a nourishing thing.
