Four men have appeared in court in the first crown court criminal trial to be held without a jury in England and Wales for more than 350 years.

Now that a precedent has been set, no doubt there'll be many more such trials in the difficult years ahead - a sign of the times to come?

That is normal in countries which law system is not set on Anglo-Saxon law. In such systems only physical evidences are relevant, eye witness could help but they are not important.

That doesn’t means that it is bad, if judge follows the written law, actually its maybe even more fair than system where you have group of people deciding if someone is guilty or not. Of course physical evidence can be manufactured and false, but in Anglo-Saxon system physical evidences can be manufactured and false also, and plus you have group of people who can be ponerized, easily manipulated and so on . . .

I also understand that it is maybe little harder to understand for someone accustomed on jury, guilty/not guilty, system . . .

Actually thinking a bit more about the jury system (and rigging of same) there was that recent case of a number of Muslim men in the UK who were accused of plotting to blow up jet airlines over the Altantic ocean. There were held for about 18 months to 2 years. Initially they were freed by a jury, but still held in custody until anther jury was found, retried and a guilty verdict was returned. The PTB eventually getting the decision they desired - reinforcing in the public mind the 'reality' of Muslim terrorists and the war on terror.

Can't remember all the exact details -but I'm sure it was something like described above.

So it seems no matter want the legal system, in a ponerized society the pathocrats will often as not get the outcome they want. :(
