Forced break due to my computer is down

My home computer is not working and a lack of resorces of money and time is slowing its recovery. My only access to the Forum is through my work computer and that is limited by work needs. I will come in Saturday evening and catch up. I am skimming the hot topics to keep somewhat current. This is very frustrating--my posting will probably be limited until I have more access to the issues and can form more complete, useful responses. My application to the FOTCM is in the mail. I REALLY miss visiting with you all every morning over my (I confess :D) contraband coffee! I am with you in sprit and will be back ASAP.

I feel your pain Shelly. I think we have all been there at one point with computer problems. Hang in there! It's good that at least you have some access to the forum from work :)

I can sympathize as there have been periods where my computer access has been limited as well. The bonus is the extra time can be spent catching up on book reading as well as other everyday tasks needed for the Work. Wishing your computer a speedy recovery!

Thank you all for thinking about me. I am sneaking a quick read and response in between work demands today. This time of the school semester there is just no catching up! But, this is a great job, a blessing and the busy times pass. In truth, I am getting more work done in a timely manner without access to the internet from home! Ha!

I had someone look at my computer and he found that the monitor cord was bad!. YEAH! a minor fix. I got my computer home yesterday and hooked it up--it worked great BUT now I can't connect to the internet "It’s ALLways something!." The modem checks out as good--it might be the 30 foot phone cord--vacuum? puppy? old age? I have never had so many mysteries in life as I do with computers. Hopefully it will be back in full working order soon. I miss you people so much!
Sorry I am whinning--I guess I should be in the swamp!
I intend to stay late after my last class tonight and catch up some more.
