France: hudge troglodyte region

I just discover that France have a region with a lot of troglodyte homes. I have seen the number of 1200 km (745 miles) tunnel. I don't know if this is accurate. Here's some links:

Does it say anywhere about the age of the site? That is How many years ago was it built?
