I apologize if this dream is unhelpful. If anything it might lighten things up a bit. It did impact me in an unusual way but the same would not be true for other people.
I had what might have been the most colorful dream I remember, happened between reads of the Odyssey thread. Though for all I know I should credit neem, I don't really know. It played like a movie, with hilarious narration (most of which only funny while emotionally experiencing the dream). I might have been observing parts of myself, or some part wanting to return/to produce information, and in the end it seems like one 'character' oversteps ("moving too quickly" rings true). Usually I have dreams that are dull/walking around/scary/only make sense emotionally. This was different. The dream seemed to make for good fiction, and had more symbolism than I am used to. When I awoke I still found the dream entertaining, which is rare.
There was a scene of beautiful snowy mountains. There was a malicious group that wanted to show off a 'star wars' type weapon. There seemed to be some understanding, at least for some heroic woman and a team busy preparing things, that it would destroy more than just the area around the mountains. A different heroic type was observing the release of this weapon from a watch-post atop a mountain. He had time to go meet another guard on another mountain. He asked the other guard to accompany him in notifying their boss (let's call the boss the general), but the two disagreed on whether to reveal the threat. The heroic type ignored the other's odd demeanor and entered the mountain to meet the general, a person wearing a military uniform.
The inside complex was an impressive tan color. There was a comedic interlude wherein the heroic type was having trouble closing the door behind him, a large door apparently made of grey or tan bricks, the outside was pitch black. In short order he met with the general, who was of the same disposition as the other guard. The heroic type acted the same way as before, insisting that they reveal this threat, at which point the guard cut him off and yelled for a different character named "Trip!" to come down to him. Trip, a person with an afro hairstyle, is apparently responsible for overseeing the heroic character. Trip was observing from a floor above them, in a large dark room. The narrator said something like "But Trip was clumsy enough to go up instead of down."
Then Trip approached and walked up a white staircase which spiraled around a tree. He was soon floating in outer space, with a beautiful view of many stars around him, but the earth under him and the sun were not visible. Then Trip fell back to (the unperceived) earth.
