FYI: Pages with "Lighthouse" freezes page loading.

Just a heads up.

I find that your "Lighthouse" with the donation status causes
my page to "spin it's wheels" waiting for page download
completion, but it never completes. On FF, you will see the
spinner on the tab - forever running. Page refresh will not
help. I also find that utube or some players (mpg, qt, etc.)
will sometimes do the same thing. Perhaps this is worth
looking into - but maybe far and few users are being affected
by this situation that it is not worth trying to fix it?

Haven't tried IE - but I am now a heavy Fedora (linux) user
and getting sick of M$. ;)

What about Mozilla Firefox? (I guess that's what FF is) You can get add-ons that block all flash elements from a page, until you click play. There might be alternatives available for other browsers... works fine for me.

Can you provide the actual link. The lighthouse flash animation was removed off the main page a week or two ago. So I am not sure where you are having the problem.

It sounds like a plugin problem for FF on the OS you are on. I have not had a problem with any flash in FF or IE.

I think it's the donation status at the bottom of the
page, but I am not sure exactly what causes it.

Wow. The problem went away. I changed the theme to the
holiday theme, then changed it back to Red Sulfur, and the
problem stopped! Must have been the old theme I was using
and I never did figure out how to change the theme before...
but there it is! All working now!

Yes, I was referring to the SOTT page as Anart pointed out.

However, you can change the "themes" in the Forum:

Click on your 'Profiles' menu on your Forum page, and to
the top-right, there are rows of colors from grey(?) to red.

Click on the color to your heart's content!
