This does not bode well for the US. I can unfortunately really see this happen here. Judging from some people around me and how they are ponerized I would say that the programming is indeed complete. What is missing really is the shock event to push these people across that boundary of morality. Right now it seems like it is a subtle and gradual movement to the right of the political spectrum.
On the surface though, things still look pretty good economically (at least in the San Francisco Bay Area) with lay-offs just now starting to affect some people close to me, but nothing really major in scale.
