Getting each page in new tab

While pursuing my way through the Recent Posts thread --as I do each day to catch up-- I suddenly noticed that a whole string of tabs had been opened at every new page of that topic. It were already seven or eight before I saw it. This never happened before to date as far as I'm aware.

Is there any reason for this 'innovation' that I might have overlooked since I was really surprised to see this happen?

I also browse using Recent Posts to catch up, and have not noticed anything out of the ordinary happening today. Maybe check to see if you have the latest browser updates installed, or try an uninstall/reinstall? Does it happen on any other browser than the one you are using?

Thanks for looking into this as it reminds me I still have to report this occurrence to have been a very temporary glitch of some sort or another which I no longer experience anymore.

I use Opera browser most of the time and it is fully updated (version 11.64 build 1403).

So, many thanks for reminding me because I just forgot about it from the moment all functioned properly again.
