Global earthquake

What do folk make of this? Aside from the planetary alignment that he mentions which may or may not be linked to it, the interesting thing has picked up on is what seems to be the entire planet 'shaking' at the same this morning. Now that's not normal is it, that much seismic activity right around the globe at the same time?

Go take a look: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aj-CoCXDGbo

Here's a link to the Live Internet Seismic Server: http://aslwww.cr.usgs.gov/Seismic_Data/heli2.shtml

Edit: added second link

Ah, maybe not what it seems. The Youtube poster has since added this to he info: "EDIT: after looking into possible cases it looks like this may have been caused by a huge solar storm hitting us "

The only way to know if what he is saying is valid would be to check seismic data for other dates. I think I once heard that the earth is pretty seismic all the time, though most of it is not detectable.

However, having said that, it sure does look interesting!

Well, if you look at examples of earthquakes in the same seismic data website, the graphs do seem to have much less ink in them.

A 3.6 earthquake:

A small test explosion:

A 3.8:

So I'm not sure what to make of this, but I do find it intriguing!

Made me rethink about those strange sounds from Kiev.

I noticed it is US based data and is now possibly pointing to solar storms which the NASA guys are so adament will cause havoc soon.

Another site I regularly check out is a Hungarian (english writing) emergency and disaster information service RSOE EDIS which has constant updates on a global map. It has been showing several earthquakes today as well as location and magnitude. May be worth looking into. http://hisz.rsoe.hu/alertmap/index2.php?...

was just now reading another forum here talking about the solar storms hitting our ionosphere, which affects internal and external geomagnetism and magnetic fields, which does have the capability of producing seismic events and effects on climate
