I keep a regular eye on what the mainstreamers are thinking. One website I visit is Toytown Germany, a site for expats.
These people are university educated for the most part, but when a few alternative ideas trickle in, they are normally jumped on straight away. Mostly.
You could have knocked me down with a feather, when I saw a link to an article on Sott!! It was the one about vegetarians returning to meat-eating. (I'm seeing Sott links quite a lot lately in other places.)
I recommended the books The Vegetarian Myth and Primal Body and suggested a reading discussion at my place. I have a big living room.
Most likely I will be jeered at, but maybe I can get something started.
Laura and co, you are amazing!
Perhaps, maybe, but maybe not, possibly, vielleicht, word is spreading, and seeds are being planted..., but I don't want to get ahead of myself. I have a hard time not anticipating.

I would like to send a WARNING to you, be very careful about what you are sharing with them. external consideration !

It wouldn't be the the first time that a seemingly good action leads to attacks of our work here, becouse of wishfull thinking and internal consideration.

so be careful....

Thanks, Pashalis. I won't and haven't mentioned the forum because I know I will do more harm than good.
Also, I know it's against the rules.
Someone else posted the links. If anything comes of it, which most likely it won't, I plan not to shove my views down people's throats. Actually, ideally I would like a discussion group where we would learn together. All I would do is host, but not advertise and let them make up their own minds.
I would also include articles not from Sott. I would be super careful, and the focus would be on the Paleo diet and The Vegetarian Myth not on this forum, or even on Sott.
Hell, I think Keith's quality of work speaks for itself. And it would be fun! I love book discussions.
Munich is a bit of desertland when it comes to progressive thinking (of the kind that is found here), so I was very pleased to see Sott mentioned.
(I'm afraid to say that I rarely even mention Sott, because most people I know would take one look at it, articles on UFOs, the Cs, and write me and anyone associated with them off as a nutter.)

I don't know if I am too paranoid, but I'd like to add another warning, about inviting strangers to your house. You don't know them at all in real life, right? Why not meet at a coffee shop for example, or a restaurant, or wherever else neutral? You can say you found out your kids/partner/parents/roommates already made plans for playing poker/watching hockey/playing with friends so unfortunately your house is not available anymore, oh well, but there's that little internet cafe in the city..... something like that. I'd feel more comfortable if you met these people at a public place. I am sure there might be one that is appropriate for private discussions where you are, like a room at a library/college/community center etc.

Alana, I hadn't thought of that. Good point. Who knows who I'd be letting into my home, with children in the house and all?
Thanks. Oh, those shady people spoil all the fun.
I don't think I'll be getting a response, but who knows. If I don't, I might try again, but I won't force the issue.
