Whistleblower or DisInfo Vector? Steve Pieczenik
Thursday, May 19, 2011
A huge conspiracy theorist coup during the recent developments since Osama bin Laden's "assassination" has been Alex Jones' frequent guest, Steve Pieczenik. Dr Pieczenik's dossier claims the following accolades, credentials and past accomplishments:
Harvard-trained psychiatrist and has a doctorate in international relations from MIT
Received full scholarship to Cornell University at the age of 16
Received B.A. degree in Pre-Medicine and Psychology from Cornell, 1964
Received PhD in international relations from MIT while studying at Harvard Medical School
Residency at Harvard, awarded the prestigious Harry E. Solomon award for his paper entitled "The hierarchy of ego-defense mechanisms in foreign policy decision making."[Actually, he received two Harry E. Solomon awards, first person ever to have done so]
Wrote a full-length concerto at the age of eight.
Deputy assistant secretary of state under Henry Kissinger, Cyrus Vance, and James Baker.
Served the presidential administrations of Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter, Ronald Regan and George H W Bush in the capacity of Deputy Secretary
1974, Pieczenik joined the US State Department as a consultant to restructure its Office for the Prevention of Terrorism
State Department, he served as a "specialist on hostage taking.
press source for early information on the mental state of the hostages involved in the Iran Hostage Crisis after they were freed.
The list gos on and on like the Energizer Bunny! [his webpage listed later in post]
This dude has creds!
For Alex to have such a seemingly high-powered, broadly respected and obviously well-qualified expert guest appear while pontificating on the (il)legitimacy of the US Government's claim to have assassinated Osama bin Laden in Pakistan in early May provides a significant degree of leverage to further Alex's position and his message.
[snip...more on OBL]
Pieceznik is a guy who has been involved in multiple top-level, government, secret operations not limited to; government overthrows, coups, dictator elimination, high-level hostage negotiations, presiding government structural design and on and on.
I would argue there aren't many guys like this in our country, at least with a similarly robust list of high-profile accomplishments, security clearance, clandestine operative qualifications.
What motivation might Pieceznik have to falsify or embellish or distort the truth in such a way? Well, he is actively involved as an author and consultant. He sells FICTION (as defined in his statement). He has consulted on a number of Tom Clancy's books an has written a number of his own. He is known to have said " I write fiction because it gives me more opportunity to be truthful." What does that even mean? Do these facts lead to a high degree of possibility that someone of his caliber would, in fact, make such outlandish claims?
Maybe his latest assertions are fictional, or partially fictional, in order to somehow present some twisted truthful insight?
Have his recent assertions jeopardized his current relationship with the government agencies he is affiliated with? Is he currently affiliated, officially, with any of these agencies? How might they view his comments? If he is being truthful, why aren't any of them making noise about what they'd likely contend as being—at best—untruthful, and at worst, outright treasonous lies.
Incidentally, he also contends that 9/11 was an inside job and has stated total willingness to go in front of the Supreme Court to make an official, under oath, statement as to such and provide any facts or otherwise compelling evidence to support his claim. Okay, let's do it! Now.
Pieceznik also claims a very high ranking US Army General explicitly stated that OBL died of kidney failure combined with Marfans Syndrome approximately December 2001.
Something to consider, indeed.
All that any of us have to go on are his appearances on Alex Jones' show, his resumé, his business past and dose of gut instinct. Personally, I feel like his overall disposition comes off as a little less than even-keeled, and perhaps even a little sensationalist. Is this the "fiction" that he claims that affords the opportunity to be more "truthful?" Is he just egging it up for the Jonesian audience? Isn't that a bit disingenuous? Maybe even irresponsible? Of course, I am only speculating.
Then, of course, the fact he is selling something shows up. Well, we already knew he is an author, no surpise I guess. But the coincidence feels a bit disingenuous to me. Call me a conspiracy theorist!
My biggest question regarding this OBL "assassination" is why on earth they'd kill what would likely be one of the most valuable intelligence sources in the history of our universe? Seriously? He is dead? Off the plank into the ocean?
Or better yet, why not claim they've captured him and utilize this scenario strategically. Certainly they'd be able to extract seemingly plausible evidence showing he is in US custody and being interrogated. Think of the potential leverage.
C'mon... WTF?
