Hi Nathaniel, it's nice that you recommend this book, however, for forum readers to understand why you recommend it, we need more data. First, why do you recommend it? Your recommendation will also, necessarily, depend on your knowledge of alchemy, since a true understanding of alchemy will determine whether your recommendation is helpful or not.

So, as you might see, your post needs more data - which I look forward to.

Well what is the point for alchemy? is it not to reach immortality. the only important things i think one needs to know about alchemy is the tools you need like the crucible and metals, the salts and fire , and learn when the days of the horoscope the expirement should be done. No need to read so many books. find a formula and make gold and find the formla to make the elixir. But the reason i would recomment this books is because it talks about the daoist who reached immortality throu the elixir. And t also has translations of the text which contain the fomulas. plain and simple.

That sounds like a 'puffers' definition. A puffer is one who has no understanding of the Hermetic tradition - the real meaning of alchemy. True alchemy has absolutley nothing to do with horoscopes, metals, salts and formulas - as you describe them. To take that to define alchemy is to take the map for the territory. Nathaniel, please take the time to read the Wave Series, which I've linked in your other thread - it will help get you up to speed. :)

Alchemy has been discussed elesewhere in the forum and I think you answered indirectly to Anart's question. Did you consider that the plain and simple formula of a physical elixir where symbols of something else? Maybe you will be interrested by the different discussions on the subjects here and there in the forum.

that is why i would suggest you read this book. there is inner alchemy and outer. inner is done with meditation, raising kundalini. and outer is with chemistry working with the metals.

No, it is not. You know not of which you speak. Please take the time to get up to speed, as has already been suggested several times. If you are not willing to do that, your posting privileges will be suspended in order to allow you the time to read.
