Happy to "protect" and "serve". Really happy...

Wow, that very disturbing. Did the police think he was going to pull a bomb out of his pocket? I hope these photos are used to charge the police with brutality.

Disturbing pictures. Seems like the trooper is enthusiastic about his chosen line of work.

You can say that again. It seems to be very entertaining to them. Just sickening that some find such things entertaining. And charging from behind... so cawardish. Interesting, that they do such things in packs.

(I do not know if it is clearly seen because of the picture resizing, but if you enlarge picture to full size they are smiling).

I have a theory though, that after fall of USSR in 90's government bred these kind of people on purpose, only to hire them in future for own protection and intimidations like that. They are payed well and have nice benefits.

Police brutality ? No... Not in that country..(sarcasm)
Belarashan crazy and so fine, Belarashan vodka and cheap wine... Look at the video, police even dance in the end.

(It does not need much translation, you'd probably hear mentioning of Gaddafi there as well. Just for the reference there is a rumor, that when the trouble in Libya started, $8 billion has mysteriously disappeared from the country, and then the economic troubles have elevated in Belarus)

It is disturbing. Humans are not supposed to be treated this way. And with insane psychopath as a president and his goblins running the country things will stay this way. He is doing precisely the opposite of what he has promised before he came to power. According to he pre-electional agenda, he was supposed to be fighting against people in power that are doing things that he is doing now. He contradicts with what he says and what he does (I have video that can prove that easily)

Translated from a norwegian newspaper (Dagbladet) today:

"Swedish ambassador beaten, kicked and arrested during a demonstration against Europe's last dictator.
Sweden's functioning ambassador in Belarus, David Emtestam (31), was among 200 persons who were arrested during a demonstration against the regime yesterday.
He was attacked by Special Forces from the police, and kicked multiple times, says press contact Tobias Nilsson from the Swedish Foreign Ministry.
He was there to observe as a part of his function as an ambassador, and tried to identify himself - to no avail.
It wasn't until ordinary police intercepted that the severe violence was stopped.
Sweden's Foreign Secretary Carl Bildt has condemned the attack."

For the most part yes, cowards are brave in packs. Overwhelming the prey and intimidation of onlookers while enjoying their sense of superiority.
:barf:

I bet some of those "brave" police would cry like a baby if confronted alone by a defiant group of citizens.

Yup, same here in usa. Seems the same practically all over this BBM, yes? Those who thrive on greed and power... Those psychopathic, possibly without a soul, definitely with no heart, lie, lie, and lie to the people. And they smile when they lie.

What current regime does is closely starts to remind 1937 all over again. Heck, they even throw people in the same prison. Anyone who is not convenient for the government gets persecuted or disappears.

You can get an idea about it here:

_http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1937_mass_execution_of_Belarusians

Nowadays, they throw people in overcrowded prisons, do not let people sleep. Then torture people by putting them in a "spread" (where people are forced to stand on the ground with their legs far apart to the max for hours). They will apply pressure on the chest or would hit people in the heart area to interfere with rhythm, saying that if you die, not a big deal, we will record it as you have died from natural circumstances. If police has beaten you up before you are in detention center, in there they would ask who beat you ? If you say police, they will beat you again, until you sign papers that you have no complaints and it was someone else. Why ? All because you dared to be in the protest. Then you lose your job & get kicked out from school.

For some reason I fail to see stuff like that happening anywhere in Europe or US, where government does such things to own people. But again, little I know. Does the same stuff happens to people who protest here as well ?

Wow! These psychos are actually laughing at what they are about to do to this unsuspecting citizen, for apparently merely walking in a public square! These sickos, IMHO, seem to be feeling exhileration at being perhaps "untouchable" -as if they are saying, "we are the law, so what are you going to do about it!?" :headbash:

Apparently, it was reported in this article, "Minsk police issue warning ahead of "silent" protest", that this was a protest inspired by the social networking groups,(_http://naviny.by/rubrics/english/2011/06/22/ic_articles_259_174101). It does make me wonder if this is a way to somehow criminalize social networking & maybe even the internet itself.

At least Sweden condemned the crackdown of the Minsk silent protest:

_http://naviny.by/rubrics/english/2011/06/23/ic_news_259_370717/

Sweden has condemned Wednesday's crackdown on a peaceful anti-government protest in Minsk on June 22.

As policemen started grabbing protesters, three officers attempted to arrest David Emtestam, second secretary of the Swedish embassy in Belarus, but let him go after he produced his documents.
Cecilia Julin, spokeswoman for the Swedish foreign ministry, described the incident as unacceptable and evidence of the Belarusian authorities' disrespect for fundamental democratic rights and freedoms. Sweden condemns the use of force against the protesters, she told BelaPAN.

Andrey Savinykh, spokesman for the Belarusian foreign ministry, said on Thursday that the ministry had no information about the incident involving the Swedish diplomat.

According to Mr. Savinykh, "incidents of the kind are resolved with consideration for two principles." "First, the privileges granted to diplomats in the framework of the Vienna Convention are indisputable. Second, a diplomat must observe the laws of the host country," he said.

Mr. Emtestam is currently de facto in charge of the embassy, filling in for Ambassador Stefan Eriksson who is away on holiday.
Note: Bold Text is mine.

Notice how Andrey Savinykh first says he has no information about the incident involving the Swedish diplomat, and then in true psychopathic nature, flips the blame back on the diplomat by saying that, "a diplomat must observe the laws of the host country"

..seem to be feeling exhileration at being perhaps "untouchable" -as if they are saying, "we are the law, so what are you going to do about it!?"

My take is that, they have found a niche where their psychopathic urges can flourish. They can feed there own psychopathic urges openly without hiding and in fact be rewarded and protected for it.
