Hello everyone,

Do you have any advice for people living on isolated island? If so, could you please let me know?
Do you think it is possible for us to be cut off from the rest of the world if we stay on Reunion island?
On the one hand because of the vaccine passport and on the other hand for climatic reasons.
Good day, thank you for everything

Welcome to our forum, Franck-alexandra. Seeing as this is one of your first posts on the forum, we would appreciate it if you would post a brief intro about yourself in the Newbies section, telling us how you found this forum, how long you've been reading it and/or the SOTT page, whether or not you've read any of Laura's books yet, etc.

It really depends on your specific situation. Generally, living on an island and considering the weather is not the best advice, but you are already living there. Have you a chance to move, regarding your family and your job? Could you still take care of yourself and family in case of a crisis?

Thank you for your welcome and your reply Gawan.

As you advised I have posted a brief intro in newbies section.
To answer your question yes there is a probability that my family can move. As far as my job is concerned I would have to wait several months to ask for a transfer if I want to keep it. For information, keeping my job is not my priority. Moreover, if the vaccination obligation passes, I will be forced to stop my activity as a firefighter from September.
I think that by staying on Reunion Island in case of a global cooling we would be totally isolated even if we managed to survive. This is not what I want for my family. Do you think that if the health passport does not pass it would be better for my family and I to wait for a probable transfer to France?

Thank you
