These were brought to my attention, from the original googleearth.anomilies.com - Egypt site.
According to the text, they are near to the now-deserted town of Dimai (Dimeh of the Lions in Egyptian texts), which I've never heard of before. The name in Greek, which isn't given, means 'Island of the Crocodile-god' so would presumably put this site near running fresh water. The connection with lions would place it in the western desert, osit.
The measurements for the large mound is given as 150 ft; for the smaller mounds 68 ft.
When I saw the large mound, it immediately brought to mind the Cass discussion about underground bases being globally spread, including one in the Western desert. The single comment suggests that the locals were keeping up continual excavations to preserve a site half-buried underneath.
