Hospital visit

Rich

The Living Force
Just thought I would let you know I have been in hospital for 4 weeks.
I had a strange feeling in my right side of my whole body. I just felt like I was about to fall over, didn't but just felt I was about to.
I rang 111 and they told me to go to hospital. So my sister Alison gave me a lift.
I had lots of MNR tests (I think that was the abbreviation)
The worst for me was the doctors withdrawing blood for a lumber puncture..
It was like an eppidural. ( I imagine)
I was sent home a few days ago and am waiting 4 weeks for the results from my GP
At the moment I have no idea what it was, but will find out something.

I still haave difficulty walking, and need to use a stick for walking.
I use my late father's stick and enjoy the connection.

Sorry to hear this Rich. Lets wait for the results hope it is nothing serious for now. Whatever is the problem, it will be much easier when you will have the right diagnose. Then you can address the problem and try to solve it.
Take care and keep us updated when you have the results.

I am very sorry to hear, four weeks is really a very, very long time. I hope you feel better soon and as others have said, wait for the results and then you can continue to look for solutions. Keep us posted on what is happening.

This is the walking stick i am using to steady myself.
It was my late fathers . so it is nice to use something from a family member.
I appreciate your reactions. Thank you.
The health care team I have is amazing. Every day I have 3 visits to help me clean and wash up.

In a way your late father is still there to provide you unconditional support through tough times via the steadying action of the stick. Lets just hope for the best and keep a positive outlook while the jury is still out on the diagnosis.

If it was me, I would spend the waiting time on thinking if my body is telling me something that I've been ignoring or refused to see. Am I about to fall over in my life? What kind of crutches (lies) I've been clinging to? This kind of sudden health problems are often blessings in disguise if we have the courage to question ourselves, our priorities and our choices. They may be life savers and in fact, sometimes they are, literally.
