there's some info about it on the spaceweather website.

they actually have information everyday up there about current CMEs and sunspots replete with images.
there is also info about upcoming asteroid encounters with approximate distances from earth measured by moon-distances.

about this CME; this one IS a big one.

Italy: right that day there has been a summer-like lightning storm during the night, with rain an some snow too. This morning freezing temperatures and roads paved with ice till 9 am - it was sunny though, and so it was through the whole day.

Then an earthquake in Milan was felt within 200 Km radius.

Storming coincidences...
