Hurricane in a bottle, dream

In this short dream I was working with a group of people who had created some device consisting of a simple pool of water covered with a clear acrylic half shell type of cover, the pool was solar operated and an extreme agitation of the water( seems a gas was involved in this) created a sort of stable, but constant hurricane entirely enclosed within the pool by this clear cover, which allowed heat from the sun to power the hurricane and keep it moving.

The action/energy of the hurricane was then utilized as a natural and completely safe, and 100% free.., source of power for peoples homes.


I`m wondering now though, is something like this actually possible, could free energy be created from a "home made" hurricane?

I wish I could remember more details, but that's it.

I can't answer your questions, but it's a neat idea. Convection currents caused by heat can cause vortexes to form in water, but that's about all I know. It sounds sort of like a combination between a solar energy collector and a flywheel (a spinning wheel used to store energy). I can imagine a dark surface at the bottom of the water catching light and producing heat, which could maybe rotate the water under the right circumstances. I don't know if this would be very efficient, though, or how one would harvest energy from the device if it worked.

Just a few thoughts. :)

I'm not sure how much this actually matches your dream, but your description reminded me of those "tornado in a bottle" things where two soda bottles are connected together like an hour glass:
