Hello everyone, I just want to share my experience I just had less than an hour ago. I was driving home at night and saw a glowing red or orange ball streak across the sky. It was really fast so I knew it wasn't a plane or helicopter. My first reaction was an adrenaline rush, I perceived it as a threat and was momentarily afraid. But it seemed to "burn out" or exit the atmosphere because it stopped glowing as it streaked across the sky. This happened for probably a half second too, it was really fast. If I had taken my eyes off the road, I probably would have missed it. It was going the same direction as me but towards my upper left.
I don't think I've ever seen a meteor or a shower, at least not recently that I can remember. After I saw it, I had remembered all the posts on Sott today about meteors and connected the dots. I guess it was a reminder for me that The Wave Cometh.
