I would like some help with a glitch please :)

I'm not sure if the glitch I'm experiencing is a problem with the forum or my own computer, but I'd like some help if possible.

When I attempt to write a long post, the view in the posting field keeps jumping back to the top of my post while I'm typing. I can continue typing, but I can't actually see what I'm typing because the field of view has moved. I can tab down to the area that I'm up to to read, but the instant that I start typing, the field jumps back to the top again.

I have been dealing with this by typing long posts out in Word first and then copying and pasting the post here and I am willing to keep doing this if no answers to this issue can be found, but I'll admit that I find it annoying and that it slows me down.
Can anyone suggest something that might help?

The same happened to me when I used Windows Internet Explorer - along with some other nasty glitches here and there :P - I'm not really sure why, maybe is just plain bad ;), so I decided to change to Firefox and everything went fine, it's a very reliable browser IMO.

Yes I have Windows Internet Explorer too. So perhaps therein lies my problem :)

Yeah, drop that evil IE. Firefox is a superb alternative IMO. Safari and Opera are other good ones too.

Highly likely...SMF has several known issues with IE...especially IE8
Microsoft really doesn't play well with others.
