Implicit Association Test

At Harvard, they are doing research on prejudice. They have discovered (shock! Surprise!) that peoples self assesment of their prejudices differs from what they measure. For example, people may claim to not be biased towards "black" people, but their testing often reveals hidden or denied prejudice.

The point of the testing is not to reveal bias (everyone has things that they have strong irrational opinions on) but to reveal bias that you are in denial over.

Check it out. I have taken several and discovered that there were no surprises. Things I felt I had no bias on measured as such and things I am strongly prejudiced against measured as such. So I am patting myself on the back for being self aware... :)

I did not have luck running the tests on firefox under Linux, but got much better results using IE under XP. (Where "better" is defined as "the testing process itself worked well".)
