Incredible Storm in South Dakota

I came across this video last night and I thought I'd share it. I wish all storms looked this beautiful! :wow:

That's crazy! I don't understand where the light inside the cell is coming from. The sun? How could it? Or a perpetually glowing plasma?

Ok, in the comments section it says that it's a looping gif animation, which means that what looks like 22 seconds is actually more like 1 or 2 secs, which would explain the constant light. You can actually see the loop if you pay attention to the movement of the shape of the clouds at the bottom of the cell.

10 points out of 10 for attention to detail Windmill knight! While I clearly need to work on mine quite a bit ;) So it's a pretty looking animation rather than an interesting phenomenon. Thank you for pointing that out! I

Yes,

That's a loop of a picture, they've become quite popular these days. It doesn't prevent the initial picture from being impressive. As far as the light within, could it be from the sunlight above the cell? In the middle of it?
