The video is not really saying that infidelity is too expensive now, it's saying that people are "cheating on the cheap" so to say. People are still cheating, they just can't afford expensive surveillance to catch cheating spouses. Nor can the cheating spouses afford expensive rendez-vous spots. And rather than breaking up, the implication is that couples will stay together because they can't afford to go elsewhere.
Well, I'd vote for salaciousness but I don't hold CNN up as a paragon of virtue either. I used to be able to tolerate CNN more so than network news but I've come to view them all as completely lacking in substance.
And in this world where black is white and up is down infidelity is seen as normal by a lot of people.
But you're right. This story was a complete waste of air time.
Maybe I'm just really ponerised, but purplehaze, for someone who knows quite a lot about unhealthy relationships, you're coming across as a little naive. And as chachachick points out, your attitude towards the mainstream media seems 'odd' too.

I think you missed the point, T.C. Purplehaze was being sarcastic. You also missed Chachachick's meaning. So yeah, maybe you ARE ponerized and seek to ponerize others with your distortions.
I've had to face the fact that, yes, I'm probably highly ponerized. But I hadn't thought about how I might be infecting others with my "opinions". Thanks for pointing that out.
I'm going to concentrate on reading about psychopathology and ponerology for a while, and talk a lot less.
