Infrawave oven?

So, moved into my new place, which is an office space with no proper kitchen. Was gifted a really nice plug-in pressure cooker from someone on Freecycle. Thought about buying a hotplate, camping stove, or toaster oven but I figured I'd wait and see what I could get for free as I am basically broke. Lo and behold, walking down the street today I found something called an infrawave oven in the trash, practically new.

I've yet to try it out, but I wanted to ask if anyone has any experience with something like this. It's supposed to cook things much faster than in a traditional toaster oven, but still keeping things crisp unlike a microwave. Infrared blanket=good, right? (Well, it's FAR infrared). So infrared food....? I dunno, didn't those tsa scanners also have infrared? I think the newer scarier ones are something else.

I didn't see the topic anywhere so I figured I would post something. I will add to this as I do some more research.

Nice luck with the

Infrared radiation is light energy below visible range and above the microwave range. I think that microwaves make things mushy because the lower the frequency, the deeper it can penetrate, so it cooks the moisture from the inside out. The TSA scanners

A regular toaster oven gives off infrared radiation too, so does a fire. On higher settings you see the metal coil glow, but below that it doesn't glow but still gives off heat!

So yeah, its safe, just a fancy toaster oven.
