I found this trailer, it's documentary about wall street banksters and this crisis they made, or got orders to make!

I saw this in the theater and I'm pretty sure it's still playing in a lot of areas. I think the DVD is available now. Charles Ferguson does a great job of spelling the whole thing out, naming names, and in a few instances getting interviewees to make incriminating or at least contradictory statements on camera. Most people here would probably feel like it's just spelling out the details of a lot of things they already know, but this documentary seems to be gaining some real mainstream traction. When you combine this info with the psychopathy checklist used in "The Corporation" documentary from a few years back, maybe it does start to paint a pretty good picture for the average person who at least pays attention to alternative media. If the economy continues to decline and earth changes don't mix things up enough first, maybe Wall Street could see its own Egypt-style revolution taking place. Probably not, but you never know.

I haven't seen this movie , but I worked for large corporations , so I can mention some of my observations. I used to work for one of the largest pharmaceutical company before and Now I work for the largest Global bank, our big bosses playfully call it "4 Trillion Dollar Gambling Machine". Despite both being evil, there are some serious differences.

In my past pharma company , we were asked to write years objectives at the beginning of the year based on the company goals, reviewed in the middle of the year and end of the year, people's performance are measured based on the written objectives, what is being achieved, what is company profit, specific division's allocation and how your boss rated you . There is a weightage for each one and people are paid raise( or NO raise) and bonus based on that. No doubt there is lot of fake love, back stabbing, inside maneuvering, pathological stuff goes on. At least on paper, there exist law and order.

Now, after joining this global bank, I came to realize some thing shocking. Though we read this stuff, seeing with our own eyes has some different impact. There is supposed to be yearly objectives, only some people writes, even if you haven't written they don't care. Boss writes what ever his observations are. They review the performance and rate it. Well, you expect your compensation is based on review performance . Wrong!. They may not give you raise or bonus though they rated you well. That's from a company that handles 4 Trillion dollars. No wonder they call it "wall street government".

I watched this last week, seems like a pretty balanced view on wall street and all the craziness inside.

Many people were interviewed and some as expected think what they did and are doing is totally fine.

Apparently this won best documentary feature at the academy awards, fwiw.

Yeah, and when Ferguson went to accept his award, the first thing he said how wrong it was that non of the financial executives responsible for the crisis were indicted. Finished watching the documentary today, and think that it's pretty revealing (in psychopathy sense), even if it's not actually spelled out.

At one time, the makers of this film were allowing authorized free downloads of the full movie, just to get the message out. I took advantage of that offer. Since the Academy Award, I see that this is no longer available.

Charles Ferguson, the producer, blindsides his interviewees with hardball questions that they were not accustomed to being asked. When they try to bluff and lie their way out, he hits them with documentation. It is a nonstop parade of psychopaths on the hot seat. A very good film for those just learning about psychopathy and ponorology.
