Interactive star map, Galaxy+100000 closest star positions(works best in Chrome)

I just felt like I had to share this one, as I felt it was fantastic and beautiful to explore:

It has the accurate position/mass of the 100 000 closest stars, and you can zoom out until you see our whole Galaxy.

Works smoothest in Chrome. Also in Firefox, but a little laggy.

Thanks for this Alx! This is a really beautiful display and it makes you wonder how does it all work especially if the universe is electric.

I had fun playing with this, flying through and spinning round the milky way . Maybe one day we'll be able to gain that perspective for ourselves.
