Last night I woke up in bed and immediately realized that I had woke in the body and home of a "me" in a parallel world. My immediate concern was for the other "me" that I assumed had awoke in my world. The concern was that the other "me" would not know what to make of this and might proceed to freak out. I got up and took note of familiar surroundings but identified many objects and furnishings that were different. I also noted that this was a lucid dream with much clarity. Family and friends were in the house and I went looking for family members to try to explain what had happened, and discuss a way to remedy this. From room to room I noticed the structure was dream-familiar but many details that were different. My memory fades from here but the experience was so vivid that I had to do a serious reality check upon waking up in my own bed - just to make sure that this was the right stop.
I had a similar experience years ago on a sailboat doing some extended cruising in the Carib. I woke up someplace that was not the boat - kind of a pastel space with no objects. I knew I should be seeing boat - but no such environment there. I had to willfully "wake up" a second time before the boat environment appeared. And again, I did a serious reality check to verify that it was the right stop. There was no discernible discontinuity between these two wakeups. In this case, I know boat life can bring on similar strangeness, but the only thing out of the ordinary preceding last night was an afternoon session in the FIR blanket.
Any similar cause-effects like this with anyone or comments?
