Interesting light formation seems to 'Cloak' over Pacific Ocean

Today stumbled upon something curious. Maybe was already mentioned elsewhere. There is this video on YT that shows a strange shape in the sky. Plasma event?

The author writes the following:

This is very unusual and am not sure even how to describe this. I am going to let you decide. Appeared in the loop of Nov 17th, only that loop, no others. The title is just what it reminds me of, an unknown light structure appearing then disappearing. I've seen a few thousand of these loops over the years and not anything even remotely close this. The area is over the Pacific Ocean between Hawaii and the United States, where the US Navy implemented a 'no fly zone' because of some kind of 'training' out in this area recently.

Well spotted, indeed. It had a very faint trail looping up to the left of screen. My judgement is that it was a bolide. It seemed to be heading towards the observer at the end of the sequence. I wouldn't say it 'cloaked', but I would hazard a guess that it finally vapourised.

It seems to appear around a star, but was it even a star or a transitory object? It does seem to be fixed to the 'celestial dome', like the other normal stars, but also seems to brighten up when the plasma-looking thing shows up. Does anyone know their star charts well enough to recognize it? And how long do people estimate the phenomenon took? An hour or two?

Very interesting and thank you for sharing. Could it also be something similar like the so called sprites?
