Re: interesting news site (lot's of articles) !

Sott does use articles from there every now and again. Thanks for the heads up though, Pashalis. :)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but as we all strive to apply external consideration, wouldn't it be appropriate to offer at least some description of the contents (and your take) of a website or video when posting a link? IMO, that would save the time of others too.

Having said that, that site does look interesting :)

Thanks for the heads up Pashalis, seen this before, just a regular (but a little better) newline...

I just discovered it and have therefore not enough knowlege and not enough time to give a description of the contents of this huge site.
so I thought I post it, so that others can say/find more about it.

If you're posting a link here on this forum with the heading 'interesting news site' then it would be greatly appreciated if you knew enough about it to describe it.

ohh... :-[ yes that makes sense! sorry

I've watch the video from Collapsnet: http://beforeitsnews.com/story/551/571/We_Have_Until_July_at_Latest,_Even_a_Caveman_Can_See_It_-_COLLAPSENET.html

From what I've understand the guy talk about an interesting point. He say the price of food will explode simply due to the fact that the price of oil is hight and so, some country like Guatemala will be enable to buy it and then enable to make tractors working and then product no food for exportation.

The other points he mentioned, is the lack of some electronics components, due to Fukushima, that will slow down the economy which is already weak.

Hi Pashalis,

what do you think ?

I'm using Opera browser and 'your' website is such a regular for me I placed it on my personal bookmarks bar above the tabs bar to have it readily available at all times. In fact it didn't even occur to me to signal it to other forumites since SotT (as already stated by truth seeker) carries articles from over there every now and then, and I automatically assumed most others would have had a look or two over there whenever they might have felt any need for clarification. That's how I discovered it, by the way.

As an experienced user I can see your difficulty in describing its contents because a vast array of topics is regularly and extensively covered, and there seems NOT to be an overarching theme of interest that the owners/makers pursue like SotT does/has. At least, I've never been able to discover any such theme...

The whole site is a very mixed bag of current affairs in many categories mostly, but not solely, from the 'alternative fringes' so there is always something to find, even when you are not looking for anything specific. I found it to be rather superficial at times and it doesn't compare with 'Global Research' (_http://www.globalresearch.ca/) for instance. To me it's an extra source of facts, fads and foibles, entertainment and occasionally disgruntled annoyance. So -as always- caveat lector!

The publisher of this website is someone named Chris Kitze.

Here's his extensive LinkedIn profile.

Interesting media background, no? Among many other high-profile corporate media positions, Chris was the Vice Chairman of NBC media.

He's also on the board of directors of Intelius, an kind of online private detective service, which is described by Bloomberg as:

Intelius, Inc., an information commerce company, engages in the provision of intelligence services to consumers over the Internet in the United States. The company offers various security services that help its customers in managing personal and information security risks that affect their private, professional, and social lives, as well as assists them to find and verify information about friends, customers, and businesses. Its consumer intelligence services include protection services, such as background check, business profile report, and background monitoring, as well as IDWatch, an identity theft protection service; verification services comprising phone number verification, identity verification, and e-mail verification; and information services, including people search, business people search, business search, and property and neighborhood report. The company also provides enterprise intelligence services to employers and real estate managers. In addition, it offers online advertising in various formats, including display, post-transaction, and search advertisements placed on certain sections of its Web sites. The company sells its intelligence services through its network of owned and operated Web sites. Intelius, Inc. was founded in 2003 and is headquartered in Bellevue, Washington

He's a keen photographer and appears to be a very wealthy man, having invested and served on the board of directors of numerous startups.

Nothing wrong with having a successful corporate career per se, but when someone of that 'calibre' then launches what looks, from where I'm standing, like an online white noise generator, you've gotta be wondering...

Hi Kniall,

Impressive results from searching a bit deeper. Thank you for that.
Seems to be a bit more than an expensive hobbyhorse then. Good to know this when visiting again. 'In sheep's clothing' indeed - how alternative...
