The television movie "Tesla or the adaptation of an angel" was created based on the dramatic text of Stevan Pešić. The adaptation of the text for the needs of the television media was made by the director of the film, Slobodan Ž. Jovanovic.
The drama is based on a true interview that Tesla gave to an American journalist at the very end of the nineteenth century, for the magazine "Immortality" whose director was Walt Whitman and editor Emily Dickinson, perhaps two of America's most famous poetic names. The real action takes place in Colorado Springs, but it is actually moved, using all directorial and technical means, from one place to another, where Tesla "takes" his interlocutor on a "virtual elevator", from the beginning of the world to the three thousandth year. Tesla's interlocutor becomes the mental force of a genius with whom he generals, moved from one virtual reality to another, from the beginning of the world, through Ancient Greece, the Belgrade of our time, to deep into the future, where the meaning of history and the meaning of the cosmos merge in the knowledge of "angels on earth".
The journalist experiences enlightenment on that phantasmagoric journey, where he encounters Tesla's visions of the past and future.
