Is God a Schizophrenic?

Sol Logos

The Living Force
Hi there, I’m new to the forum but been an avid reader of Sott.net and some of the material of the C’s for a little while.

The other thing that’s taken my interest for about the same amount of time is the material presented by AJ Miller and his partner Mary about Divine Truth. According to them they are the same Jesus and Mary of the 1st Century. Odd I’m sure many would be thinking, how would a person sincerely find value in Sott.net and a crackpot? We’ll you may extend me the benefit of the doubt and let me know your informed thoughts, much of that can be seen here: http://www.youtube.com/wizardshak

Anyway the reason I’m writing this I suppose is I that I love reading all about the C’s and the stuff on Sott.net but obviously there’s some large philosophical conundrums with the material of Divine Truth and the material presented here.

One is the nature of divinity. I use to believe as a child the idea of the Catholic God then after some life changing experiences, I saw God very much in line with what the C’s state – God is the totality and we are all aspect s of God’s wholeness with the potential of being the same – well better to say we are the same but we just have a few perception switches turned off. So God-consciousness is all the switches turned on, which is basically our unique journey to turn them all on if we choose. If I’ve surmised that badly, please correct me.

Then I started considering that God is an entity again. I know the idea of God as a entity is seen as an illusion but given we have intentions, feelings, thoughts’ etc. maybe it’s credible that the limitless totality of all consciousness would have clearer intentions, feelings, thoughts than our human limited consciousness would?

And if that’s possible, it came to me the other day that this suggests that God is Schizophrenic, or for some unknown purpose has chosen to be., aka God had to have decided to construct a universe of herself (or him or it) destined to be hidden from her holistic limitless experience. So God created partly blind divisible units of consciousness of herself. God then willingly created herself to have a Schizophrenic makeup. I personally, wouldn’t choose to do this because it’s self-defeating and illogical. How could a far superior consciousness have an inferior logic than me?

So the idea that we are God, is actually from this angle anthropomorphic, given it’s more of a reflection of the human condition to have Schizophrenic tendencies. Perhaps there's an error in this view of God being totality?

I understand there’s a power draw card for those who place themselves as sole intermediaries of the one monotheistic God. Clearly an agenda of promoting this cosmology is apparent and dangerous – plenty of historical evidence for that. But that doesn’t discount the possibility that God is independant of our existence. In other words, God as a definitive entity that created us but is not bound by our creation to be.

Anyway, I thought it an useful topic to open up, in case anyone is interested in this. Also thanks Laura, Ark and team for all your wonderful work. I'll see if I can donate a little (though you deserve a lot), I just don't have a lot myself... but I guess every bit counts.

Thanks

David

Hi alkhemst,

Welcome to the forum. :)

Don't forget to check out Tips and advice for Newbies and the Forum Guidelines.

You might also want to read through the Diet and Health and EE-Breathing Program threads as well as the Recommended books by QFS. You also might be interested in the Knowledge and Being video made by Laura. It serves as an introduction to some of the concepts discussed here on the forum.

A simple way to help support the work that is being done here is to order any of the Recommended books from here. Since it is a full service bookstore, anything that is currently in print may be ordered.

In the meantime, it's a good idea to bookmark the Cassiopaea Esoteric Glossary and the Cassiopedia, as they are very useful references that can be used when you encounter concepts/terminology that you may not be familiar with. They should be consulted before posting questions on the forum.

Note that there are some "off limits" areas to the forum that are restricted to all but active forum participants, and we ask you to please keep the noise down. You will also not be able to edit or delete your posts until you reach a minimum of 50 posts. In that respect, it pays to use the "Preview" button prior to posting your message so that you can see how your post will look to others.

Finally, there is so much information on this forum that before beginning a new thread or asking a question on a subject, it is recommended to use either the quick search function at the top of the page or the more advanced search function on the menu function.

Please note that on each section of the forum, you will see a sticky topic at the beginning of the list of topics. This sticky topic called " Important threads - "Name of the section of the forum " contains all the important threads that should be read by all members.

Ahem, right... When AJ Miller was asked what the main message is he wants to get across, he said:

"The main message is about love, firstly God's love and also mankind's love for each other. Those are the two primary messages, firstly that we can receive love from God and feel it, and secondly that we can be transformed in the way we display love to other people."

They seem to support the love&light idea, and that's a dangerous idea, have you read the Wave and Adventure series? Reading those series will also give you more clarity on your questions and thoughts about God.

The Wave series can be found here: http://cassiopaea.org/2010/05/08/the-wave-chapter-1-riding-the-wave/

Yeah perhaps I've jumped into the lions den with this but as with all things we can't be certain of anything no matter how absurd it might be until we've put it through our own tests and investigations, which I do my best to live by. Without yet going through the link, im aware of the agenda of promoting love / light as a means of subjugating our free will - which by my definition of love, isn't demonstrating love. So on such terms we've got to go back to the definition of love. If the new age love / light concept essentially disempowers those who follow this, then for me it's more like control with a mask of love. Try controlling someone and see how much they'll love you. Again not talking about the wife bashing syndrome, where the wife 'loves' her husband, that's more like a dependent / addictive dynamic - not love.

So while it may appear my interests are on the opposite end of the spectrum, I'm suggesting it's an appearance but not a fact.

For me, to know the nature of God is a continual process of learning, questioning and revising. Probably why I'm posting the question here. Still curious on feedback there too.

Going to go and read up on your link, thanks for that. Will comment more after that.

Btw liking my auto-generated tagline "a disturbance in the force"

Read "The 5th Option" and then come back to discuss the topic.

Ok, thanks Laura - looks like a good read and the gift I'll ask for my birthday as coming up. Also is subscribing to say dot connector useful in terms of donation, as I can't at present donate much of significance and dont want to offend with a measly amount.

Will comment back after I read. This topic is fascinating to me!

There is no "measly amount", alkhemist! :) Giving what you can and in a way that best works for you will always be appreciated.

Alkhemst, the other thing that the love and light "gurus" is "teaching" those who follow them is that all you have to do is think loving thoughts and everything will then change to a loving environment. It doesn't work that way and that's why reading the Wave and Amazing Grace, among other books by Laura, can really open your eyes up to what is really going on behind the love and light crowd.

You can read both of them for free here. Or, if you want to help support Laura, SOTT, the forum and QFG, you can purchase the Wave and Laura's other books, except for Amazing Grace, here.

Funny that how one might imagine while crippled with fear, anger, guilt and all those other painful emotions, just thinking love and happy thoughts will wipe the slate clean. There's got to be as you suggest deeper reasons why a person would believe this tripe. Honestly though if that concept was promoted by AJ Miller I'd have little interest in what he says, but what he says is just the opposite.

Will read through above suggestions - thanks again for all those references.
