Is it safe to travel now by plane?

I have a question about the ongoing war in the Middle East. I have a friend who lives in Madrid, and since I'm all alone here, she'd like to visit me during Easter. I like her so much that I'm thinking and praying that maybe I'll move near her. It would be like having a new family and far away from the memories this island holds of Claude. She's wondering, and I'd like to ask you what you think, if it could be dangerous to travel by plane from Madrid to Gran Canaria? What do you think?

It is not me that will travel, not now maybe later, but she wants to visit me for Easter, Thank you Ben. And yes, if I decided to go to Madrid, it is better to do it when tickets are afordable.
 
I read that some airlines have a large stockpile of jet fuel and can keep the prices stable for months, while other airlines have already increased prices by a lot, especially in Asia.

Safety should be fine outside the war zones.
