JK Rowling's Latest Book "THE CASUAL VACANCY"

Hey everyone!
It's been a while, hectic month that prevented me from doing many things!
Anyways, has anyone read JK Rowlings latest novel "The Casual Vacancy"?
Just finished reading it (took me 1.5 days to read it when was on sick leave)
Anyone has any opinions on the novel's message? Mainstream peeps criticize it to be random junk..
I on the other hand found it as a mini masterpiece on showing how psychopathic, narcissistic & ignorant our society is by will. And she writes it in a very realistic subtle, non dramatic level (that would explain the criticism i guess). Completely opposite to Harry Potter... Had a feeling of slight disgust and bad feelings while reading it almost the entire time...
I'm interested to hear other opinions to those who have read it! And recommend the book to those who have not read it!

I've read it, and it got me a bit nerved (considering all the profanity and explicit imagery involved). It does have pathological insights, though.

Just read Megan's & Palinurus's comments on it.
i relate to what Megan said, it was VERY difficult to read at the beginning and knowing this was JK Rowling's novel (Having read the harry potter books a dozen times and being a big fan) was really hard to believe. But having payed attention to JK Rowling's speeches and herself, it feels like that she wants the real side of humans to be shown, with zero censor, unlike harry potter, she described everything realistically & raw, yet subtle and realistically..
I appreciate her bravery for publishing a book she knew would not be popular & satisfying, because maybe she felt the need to use her position and contribute to illuminating peeps in what society we're living in?...
