Jodi Arias

I've been following the trial of Jodi Arias and it is quite an interesting up close of a female psychopath. It is fascinating (but repulsive) to see her project everything she is onto the deceased whom she murdered. I believe the vicitm was stalked, and she inserted herself into all areas of his life effectively "absorbing" and keeping him confused and manipulated with sex. I've read and listened to quite a bit and there's no doubt she was highly skilled at manipulating his thought processes, guiding them exactly where she wanted. The predator and her prey. There's something about this case that really grips me. The victim, Travis Alexander, grew up in a very abusive home and managed to head in a different direction. He was well loved and respected, and successful.
And became prey.

Being 'well-loved, respected and successful' are key marks for a psychopath. He fooled a lot of people - mainly his family and the Mormon church members he had snow-balled. He was living 2 (or more) lives.

I've been following it as well and it looks me to that they both show(ed) psychopathic tendencies. Listening to the taped 'phone sex conversations' that they played for the jury over the last few days, he is far from innocent in the entire situation. It's his voice saying these creepy things, not her recounting what he said. And if it's true about his pedophilia tendencies, that adds even more to his persona.

Don't get me wrong, she is obviously eerily calm in her descriptions and voice, showing barely any emotion throughout her testimony - only breaking down when she had to listen to the tape in front of her family and others in the courtroom.

Seems to me he met his match.

I have to disagree. She is a predator. She stalked and inserted herself into his life, absorbed it, every aspect, through work, converting to Mormonism and kept him a psychological sexual hostage preying on his spiritual confusion and keeping him emotionally unbalanced. This was never a boyfriend girlfriend relationship. It was a victim and predator. I do not buy that he hid a dark side from everyone. I believe she manipulated everything and sexually abused him, but not in the way it is generally understood. It may look otherwise even going beneath the surface somewhat but IMO this is a case that is going to be almost impossible for the average person to see the forest through the trees. IMO even very perceptive types will not see it clearly. I listened to that phone sex tape carefully and heard a master manipulator. I have no doubt that she thoroughly and masterfully manipulated his thought processes so expertly and left no footprints, that he would not be able to recognize that the thoughts that she lead him too were the ones intended and the behaviours that were expressed from them ultimately were not his. I don't say that lightly either.

Well loved, successful and being respected are often key marks of a psychopath but not always. In this case, it was what made him attractive prey.

At least one expert asks the question and believes that Arias could well be a Sociopath. The headline (different article, that piqued my interest) that got my attention was this: "Prosecutor Accuses Shrink of Crushing on Jodi" What?! I have little regard for prosecutors in general, but what type of personality could get this, even possibly, type of reaction from a trained expert?

Here's the article, (linked) titled, "Is Jodi Arias a Sociopath?"

Clearly this expert believes it very possible, even likely, that she is one. One thing is for sure, if this expert is correct: If she gets off, like OJ, she will be involved in some form of harm again. Why? It's her nature. . . .
