I had this dream over three years ago now but it has stayed on my mind and I think about it every now and then. I wrote the dream down in my journal and I am glad that I did as I can share the details here.
I’m out walking downtown in the city where I live, by myself at night. I go into a restaurant and sit down at the counter. There is asian type cuisine placed out like a buffet before me but it is slimy looking so I grab some of the salad instead. I find out I'm sitting at another lady’s seat and decide to go and sit at another two chair table. The actor John Malkovich sits at the table and starts talking to me. He motions for me to go with him and we leave the table and the food. I mention I didn’t pay but he shrugs it off and tells me to go with him. Before leaving the table I look at the clock and it is about 10 or 11 till worktime, and then I remember I no longer work at the job that I use to work at. We go upstairs to this jewelry shop and he has the counterperson I believe show me these two light pink heart stone earrings, and I see other infused glass like earrings as well, like I had seen at the job I use to work at. The earrings are in a red jewelry box. I look at them but am not too impressed with the style of it. He buys them for me, and I mention that I can’t accept them, that I was "playing nice." He gets angry and so I accept them to quiet him down. We go down what seems a strange elevator and leave the place. A lady from inside where we were yells something in an angry tone, but then starts mumbling something after I confront her.
We’re outside, the actor and I, walking down a street. I drop the earrings, the glass part which is a bright pink and round with sparkles breaks out of the case and the receipts are with it. I go to pick them up and notice the amount on the price tag-$895. I tell him how much money this is to me, and I feel shook up about having them. He follows me, and I mention I’ve seen movies with him in them, I say that he was in Being John Malkovich, that he is John Malkovich. He denies this and I question for a bit if this is so. He follows me to my home and I’m annoyed and a bit freaked out at this point. I call 911 to have him leave, get an answering machine but two little girls who I guess are my sisters run up and let me in. I go in quickly with them, telling him he has to go and lock the doors in both rooms connected to one another.
I do think there is a 'play nice' program going and it may be stronger than I realize. Also it makes me think of how things just happen to me, and the extent to which my actions are so dependent upon and intertwined with others, especially when I had the dream three years ago. I started a relationship three months before the dream which I am still in and I have wondered about a possible connection; how it may reveal certain dynamics. Strange too to randomly dream of the actor John Malkovich and for this dream to stick with me as much as it has. I appreciate any insight and thanks for reading.
