Just Finished Wave Vol 4, is there a vol 5?

Cyre2067

The Living Force
Saw that in the back it mentioned volume 5 and i didn't see it on the red pill press page, is it a work in progress? That and my infernal expectations were for a summary of sorts, and now my self-importance is all ticked because i didn't get it. Wow, reading that sentence over again makes me chuckle. Anyway just wondering about the fifth volume because, well, i don't have it! :-)

There will eventually be a Book 5, Book 6, Book 7 and maybe even several more. But there are other things we are working on first.

Any thought given to making the various books downloadable in PDF form (for a price of course)... I have no idea what logistical problems might exist for this.

Gee, you're reading our minds. We hope to have our books available as e-books in pdf format before too long. (for a price, of course) ;)

We'll let everyone know when they are available.

Are there going to be any limitations to the ebooks, e.g. printing restrictions, document password, etc? Is there any any additional content?

They'll have passwords, no additional content. And people will be able to print.

We are expecting that the market for e-books is different than the market for paper books, that people who can afford it will want the ease of a book.

Actually I think it would be good to have both printed and e-books versions. Very often one would like to quickly find certain excerpt in a book and in such instances "search" function is a blessing. Maybe you could think about a little discount for electronic version of particular book, if someone already has bought from you the printed version?

One benefit of e-books is that they are searchable so it's easy to find passages and so on. Some detriments - passwords can be cracked (unless you make it really long and complex so cracking would take unreasonably long time). Even if not cracked, one person just has to buy it and then share it on a peer-to-peer network and it can spread like wildfire. But that's the risk of any digital content. However, I think those who see the value of this work, who wish to balance and appreciate the effort put into these works, who agree with the goals and Path of the group as a whole and wish to further those goals because they involve the entirety of humanity, those people will contribute the best they can no matter what. In other words, those who "recognize the application" will always do their best to promote this Work regardless of whether any books are for sale or not, and so they won't look for every opportunity to try to get this for free and get out of paying, simply out of collinearity with this group's goals and appreciation of all the effort it puts in.

Interestingly, even those that may initially download this for free due to simply curiosity, they may end up being supporters and so give back later on anyway if they happen to recognize this Work for what it is and its importance. Those who never wish to contribute at all because they don't get it, or because they don't agree with the goals - well no one ever counted on them to contribute in the first place.

That reminds me of a quote I think I read in someone's signature on this forum, which is attributed to Plato:
"Good people do not need laws to tell them to act responsibly, while bad people will find a way around the laws."
So in the same sense, those who recognize and agree with this work never even needed for something to be officially "for sale", they'll contribute anyway when they can and in the manner in which they can, and it is they who really support this effort to begin with. So I guess the detriments listed above aren't really that detrimental, osit.

Just a thougt about Ebooks, they are bound to show up on some fileshareing network. A paperbook have to be scaned/ORC

Just enquiring (unless I missed it) whether the entire Wave series (1-7) is available in 'bundle' format - at set price for all seven. I understand 7 is not a 'follow-up', so maybe 1-6?

And then, on the Red Pill Press purchase page, I don't see an option for e-book. Are there e-books? E-books are nice for searching.

E-books were discontinued because they were showing up on various websites as free downloads.
