link to someone's post

Please excuse me if I missed this information somewhere on this forum,
I am wondering if there's a way - when linking to someone's post in some thread -
to create a link which opens that exact post on the top, not just a page of that thread in which case
one has to scroll down and find the post itself? This is for the cases when one's not posting within that linked thread
and in order to make it easy to link straight to 'the point'?
I am wondering cause considering to write a post with some thoughts form other member, within other tread,
which is a bit long to put under quote, and, that thread, under which was posted, is not all so relevant for what I want to discuss...

Right above a members name there is the date and time of the post; it's also a link. If you press it, it will direct you to the url of that post.
