Looking for a story from an Idries Shah book

A Disturbance in the Force
Hello Everyone,

In one of his books, I can't remember which one exactly, in which there is one little Sufi story after another... It may be "The Way of the Sufi"... there is a short quote of a Sufi teacher from yesteryear in which he comments to a group that although the Mongols have conquered a great empire and reduced the Islamic Kingdoms to nothing and massacred many, and look to be on top of the world at the moment, their demise will come and he ends by saying what is seen today as the most improbable of events is what will actually happen... I am totally paraphrasing and I'm looking for the exact story. thanks

I'm sorry that I cannot answer your question and hopefully another member knows more, where this quote can be found.

Anyway, seeing as this is your first post on the forum, we would appreciate it if you would post a brief intro about yourself in the Newbies section, telling us how you found this forum, how long you've been reading it and/or the SOTT page, whether or not you've read any of Laura's books yet, etc.

You might find it in the Tales Of The Dervishes: Teaching Stories of the Sufi Masters over the Past Thousand Years by Shah. It's a book of Sufi Dervish tales.
