I‘m sorry if the following was already brought up or asked. I haven’t yet found the time to read through the thread:

First:

Is anyone remembering news pretty recently that Australia is either considering or implementing something that appears to go against the agenda of “the PTB“? I’m not sure, but I seem to remember something to that effect but can’t find it in my mind anymore. Maybe something to do with the multipolar part of the world? Something to do with Gold perhaps? I could be mistaken though and I‘m conflating something with something happening somewhere else.

Secondly:

By now after all those “random“ shootings (and similar weapon related violence) for decades now all over the west, I‘m starting to really notice at least one particular pattern:

- Same as now in Australia, it might serve at least one important purpose: Force countries/regions to pass new and stricter laws about guns and similar weapons.

- I‘m starting to think that the PTB really are trying hard to make (at the very least) western populations defenseless and/or unable to organize themselves in order to threaten anything the PTB are doing or planning with a substantial weapon based resistance and/or deposing of those up there responsible for the mess with weapons. And/or preparing the grounds towards a defenseless population after the coming changes which might involve quite some cataclysms, so that they can come out of their bunkers afterwards and reclaim power/control without resistance? And/or preparing mechanisms and legal frameworks to quickly dispose and/or imprison people easily that have any weapons that might now be “illegal“.

At 15 dead, I think it's the worst, in terms of numbers killed, mass killing of Jews, outside of Israel, since WW2. Not sure about that though. Can anyone recall a worse one? The 1972 Munich massacre saw 11 Israeli Olympic athletes killed. The January 2015 attacks in Paris at the Charlie Hebdo magazine office, plus the Jewish kosher store a couple of days later, saw a total of 17 people killed, but not all victims at Hebdo were Jewish.

As far as I can tell at the moment, the single worst atrocity, until now, committed against Jews outside Israel, post-9/11, was the mass shooting at a synagogue in Pittsburgh in 2018, which saw 11 Jews killed.

There's an intermediate step before becoming a fully fledged officer in Australia called either general duty or auxillary officer depending on the state. They don't carry side arms, usually just pepper spray and batons because they're basically just security staff in police uniform. They've done bootcamp sans firearms training. I can't tell from that post whether they're carrying or not.

They're calling Bondi Australia's worst ever terror attack. I guess Port Arthur (35 dead) wasn't considered terrorism.

Yes the call for more gun control has already begun. The father shooter was allegedly a registered firearm owner and had 6 legal guns.

Getting an AB gun license (rifle) isn't that difficult in Australia (compared to a handgun licence for eg). You do a safety course, pay a fee and then wait a while until you get it. The handgun license is a lot more annoying and expensive. You have to "compete" every few months at a shooting range to prove that you own it for sporting purposes. And of course it's very illegal to defend yourself with a firearm even if your life is in danger. It would've been an interesting legal process and national discussion if Mr Ahmed had actually shot and killed the attacker with his own gun.

I listened to this show on my commute today, I was driving so couldn't check details but think I remember Joe asking about anti-semitism laws in Australia.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese appointed Jillian Segal as special envoy to combat anti-semitism. She, along with other Australian Jewish groups tried to get specific anti-semitism laws passed in Australia, but I think that there were just amendments made to existing hate crime laws that weren't just specific to Jews. There was a parliamentary debate about it, but the general sentiment from what I recall is echoed in the following Sydney Criminal Lawyers article that basically says hate crime laws should protect all people:



Coming off the back of Australia's rejection at referendum of the Aboriginal Voice to Parliament after $65 million spent on the Vote Yes campaign, I don't think giving one particular race specific protection above the rest of the population would have been gone down well here.

Aside from the Sydney Criminal Lawyers article addressed on the show that basically points out that anti-semitism isn't a huge problem here, there was also the Cafe Cairo incident where the Telegraph staged a stunt apparently trying to provoke an anti-semitic response for a documentary they were planning to detail the difficulties faced by Jews living in Australia and they got caught out.

While there are Jewish lobby groups in Australia, given that the Jewish population here is small compared to the US (grok estimates approx 110,000 with the majority concentrated in Sydney and Melbourne according to census data) I don't think they're quite as powerful. That doesn't mean that they have no impact, and there are Australian politicians, businessmen and journalists who are sympathetic to Israel. This substack has documented both Jewish NGO's in Australia and those Australians that have connections to Israel or have visited by invitation. Though checking Jewish political campaign donations here isn't as straight forward as AIPAC donations in the states because apparently there are loopholes that give exemptions in the Australian Electoral Commission rules about the reporting of campaign donations that come from not-for-profits.

Apart from that, the most vocal and well known Jew in Australia is probably Avi Yemeni (@OzraelAvi on X), Rebel News Reporter. He came to fame here with his confrontational reporting at covid lockdown protests and gained a large following. That seems to have changed since with his outspoken support of Israel and Zionism, and his unhinged anti Palestine rants and he used to get quite a lot of push-back on those posts. That seems to have tamed down now so perhaps he was blocking lots of people.

On the heels of this shooting, the FBI today announced they foiled a plot to bomb New Year's Eve celebrations in Los Angeles and New Orleans by a pro-Palestinian terror cell.

FBI arrests 4 alleged members of radical pro-Palestinian group accused of plotting New Year’s Eve bombings

Federal authorities say they disrupted a credible terrorist threat over the weekend, arresting four alleged members of a radical pro-Palestinian extremist group accused of planning coordinated New Year’s Eve bombings in Los Angeles.

The FBI told Fox News Digital that the members self-identified as part of a radical offshoot of the Turtle Island Liberation Front (TILF), an extremist group motivated by pro-Palestinian, anti-law-enforcement, and anti-government ideology.

According to the FBI, they were allegedly planning coordinated bombing attacks on New Year’s Eve using improvised explosive devices, targeting five separate locations across Los Angeles.

The agency said the four were arrested in Lucerne Valley, where they were believed to be preparing to test explosive devices ahead of the planned attacks. They have each been charged with conspiracy and possession of a destructive device.

The FBI said Monday that a fifth individual believed to be connected to the same TILF extremist group was arrested in New Orleans for allegedly planning a separate attack.

A TILF Instagram account said its founding chapter is in Los Angeles, and its goal is to free "Turtle Island," an Indigenous name used to refer to North America, from the "illegal American empire."

"Free Palestine. Free Hawaii. Free Puerto Rico," the account posted. "Freeing the world from American imperialism is the only way to a safe and peaceful future," it continued.
