Massacre occurred at an adult school in the City of Örebro, 11 deaths (one more since the article was published) - making it the worst mass shooting in our country’s history

10 dead in the komvux (school) massacre in Örebro

A dozen people have been killed in connection with the shooting at Campus Risbergska komvux in Örebro, the police now announce, after first providing misleading information about the injury situation.

Several killed and 15 injured in school shooting in Örebro

During an initial press conference in the afternoon, police gave misleading information that was likely to be perceived as meaning that there were no fatalities after the incident, despite being reported by several media outlets.

Roberto Eid Forest, head of the Örebro police region, said that the police were investigating a number of criminal charges, none of which involved lethal violence. At the same time, the region's medical director summarized the "injury situation" and did not mention any fatalities.

However, when asked directly, Mr. Eid Forest said he could not confirm whether there were any fatalities, as this information was subject to the confidentiality of the investigation.

A few hours later, a new press conference was held - and now the police chose to tell the truth instead: there are about 10 dead after the shooting at the Örebro University College.

- "This is an incredibly tragic event," said Roberto Eid Forest.

35-year-old with a gun license

According to the police, one of the dead is the perpetrator himself. According to TV4 News, it is a man in his 35s who has a gun license. He is said to have shot himself to death.

He is not known to the police since before.

- We do not rule out that there are more suspects, says police area commander Roberto Eid Forest.

Shortly after the incident, a left-wing journalist at Aftonbladet chose to call the 35-year-old's family home to ask his relatives to comment on the incident, which led to speculation that the perpetrator could be a right-winger.

However, the police have not publicly announced who he is. He is said not to be known to the police since before

It is a terrible
deeply saddening event.

I have to admit that it sort of "captured" my mind (without i wanted to) during the night, kind of like some a "mind trap" lingering all the time. For being Sweden, this is an utmost extreme / raw event.

At the same time I always wonder (keep in mind), in what way this could possibly be a 'toolbox event' steered by/though other powers in one or the other way; whether 3D and/or even with a touch of 4D involved. Or a NATO thing and all those aspects when we consider and see how the world at all levels often is duped, hoaxed and steered in certain ways, in order to accomplish other changes to be implemented... Many questions linger in my mind (albeit without that i would favor any of them. It's just thoughts and possible considerations)

And while it is a terrible event, at the same time, we had many bombings; as many events as you count days during Jan 2025 (!) Alone 5 bombings in Southern Stockholm during a single day. But brutal murdering en masse ... is highly unusual. You have to go back to 17xx something.

DailyMail Online
also has an article together with some videos (of a guy who hid in the toilette while the shooter went rampant).

As well a "liveblog"

The speculation
according a reporter who writes her own blog - Ann Helena Rudberg - writes among other things, that he was a loner, very little contact with others, lived on barely any official income, possibly some savings:

Rickard Andersson was 35 and lived at 53 Storgatan. He had a licensed hunting weapon which he used against himself and others. Eleven are now dead. He was a loner who had changed his name from Simon. He lived by himself. He had no criminal record. So sad for so many. Rest in peace all those killed!

Gunnar Strömmer will be on SVT Morgonstudion at ten to eight. I hope he has something more to say.

7:57

The Minister of Justice did not have much new to say. He had a weak, quiet and sad voice. There was a lot of speculation on SVT, although he himself said that it would preferably not occur. But schools must introduce security measures, he said. Like in the US.

9:01

Four women and two men are hospitalised from the shooting. They are all over 18 years old.

10:55

The killer changed both his first and last name in 2017. He was called Jonas and Simon and changed to Rickard Andersson. I think of the film Matrix where Mr Andersson is the main character. The whole worldview is shattered for him.

I really think that the police could go out with more information about this murderer. There can't be a trial because he's dead. But maybe it's too dangerous to say too much. Was it only immigrants who died? The question arises. But now it is important to calm down the upset feelings, obviously whoever it was that died.

11:15

Aftonbladet [evening boulevard paper] believes that the killer entered the school with some guitar case or similar and there he had the weapon. He changed clothes in a toilet and then the shooting began.

Picture from the Daily Mail of the killer in the corridor.

He does not look very white. It would be helpful if the police could deny or confirm this.

Here is Rickard Andersson before he changed his name and when he lived with his parents.

In another forum where people write totally free, albeit also go into all kinds of speculations between earth and sky on all kinds of subjects without filter, called Flashback; the surname and later name change created some buzz, thinking the killer is of jewish origin. He changed name in 2017.

Another question that often shows up is; how does hunting "allow" semi-automatic weapon, people ask (since the killer had a registered weapon license).

Rickard Andersson, changed name from surname Simon in 2017.

Rickard Andersson, 35, is reportedly suspected of carrying out the worst mass murder in Swedish history.

According to consistent information, the man has lived in isolation and had mental problems.

He was denied military service
but was given a licence for four hunting rifles, according to Aftonbladet.

The picture of suspected mass murderer Rickard Andersson's life is becoming clearer and clearer. Consistent information describes him as a loner with virtually no social contact.

Documents from the Swedish National Service Agency show that the man was repeatedly informed that he was not eligible for military service when he came of age.

‘You and all other Swedish men are obliged to enlist in the year you turn 18. However, the National Service Agency shall only call those to enlistment who we judge to have the prerequisites to be enrolled for military or civilian service or in a training reserve.’

‘With reference to the Swedish National Agency for Education's information, which we have previously informed you about, the National Board of Obligations will not call you to muster,’ the decision states.

A loner
In an email to Aftonbladet, the National Service Agency writes that the reason he was never called to muster was because he lacked upper secondary school qualifications. Grading documents that Aftonbladet has taken part of show that he basically did not meet any goals to get a final grade in elementary school.

People close to the man, with whom Aftonbladet has had contact, unanimously testify to an individual with social and mental problems that began as early as primary school.

After school, he is said to have lived in isolation.

- He really is a loner. He used to have a friend he socialised with a lot, but not now. He wants to be on his own. He doesn't seem to like people and stuff like that,’ says a relative.

Had a license for four rifles
Despite the mental problems, the man had a firearms licence for four rifles, according to Aftonbladet. During the attack, he is said to have been carrying three rifles and a knife, one of which was a standard hunting rifle with 30-06 calibre ammunition. There are also reports that a shotgun was used during the mass murder.

In order to obtain a firearms licence, a person must undergo a suitability test. It is the police who carry out this test. One requirement is that you must have a hunting licence.

Aftonbladet has contacted the police to ask about aptitude tests to obtain a firearms licence.

‘Due to high operational pressure at present, we decline an interview on the issue,’ writes press secretary Mathias Rutegård in an email.

Aftonbladet has requested documents from the police about the man's possession of weapons, but has been denied access to documents due to confidentiality.

END OF ARTICLE

Simon, now going by Andersson, seemed to be a local, and to have formerly taken classes at the college:
The suspected gunman, who was among the dead, was named in media reports as Rickard Andersson, 35, a former student of the school who lived locally. He is understood to have attended some maths classes at the school a few years ago and had been unemployed for a decade.
I don't know how it compares with the immediate aftermath of other mass shootings, but for this one it's been noted how reluctant the authorities are to release facts:

In the days since the shooting, there has been a striking lack of information from the authorities. On Thursday night, police had still not confirmed the identity of the gunman - widely reported by Swedish media to be 35-year-old local Rickard Andersson - nor any details about his motive or the victims.
Was this a 'race hate' attack? The perpetrator's a white native, while the victims appear to be mostly minority Syrian and Bosnian. Swedish TV has reported that Andersson is heard on video shouting: "You will leave Europe!"

Andersson apparently registered as living in an apartment block in Orebro, yet his neighbors don't recall seeing him living there:

He said he knew “nothing at all” about Andersson. “I’ve only seen his name on the door, that’s the only thing,” he said, describing it as “very unusual” because he says hello daily to his other neighbors in the small block.
It seems to be relatively easy (relatively, for Europe) for Swedes to acquire guns, and many of them own at least one:

Authorities said the shooter had licenses for four weapons, three of which were found next to his body. Police have seized the fourth. Officials have only said at least one gun was a rifle-like weapon.

Currently, in order to possess a firearm legally in Sweden, applicants must obtain a weapon license and demonstrate that it will be used for an acceptable purpose, such as hunting or target shooting, and not be misused.

Applicants must also submit previously obtained hunting or target shooting certificates. Hunting certificates require people to pass a training course, while target shooters must be certified as active and experienced members of clubs.

In a country of roughly 10.5 million people, there were just over 660,000 registered gun owners at the beginning of 2024, according to the Swedish news agency TT. Those registered owners had some 2 million guns, objects that are considered firearms and weapon parts that require a permit.

TT reported that 1.6 million of those guns are registered for hunting, and another 176,000 for target-shooting.

All weapons must be stored in secure cabinets approved by the police.
Now we're hearing that the 'right-wing' (again, it's relative in Europe!) government is going to pass a gun control law "restricting access to semi-automatic weapons," and this despite there being no official statement on the shooter having used such.

We do appear to hear semi-automatic gunfire in one of the videos from the atrocity:

It also appears that the perpetrator attempted to set fire to the building, before killing himself. However, this occurred after the police arrived and apparently engaged in gunfire with the shooter:

Regional police chief Lars Wiren said officers arriving at the scene, where the gunman had killed 10 people before apparently killing himself, had described a scene resembling "an inferno".

Wiren said officers sent to the adult education centre in Orebro, west of Stockholm, were faced with "dead people, injured people, screams and smoke".

Releasing a timeline of the attack, police described how the first officers arrived at Campus Risbergska five minutes after police received several reports about a shooting at 12:33 pm (1133 GMT).

Shortly afterwards, officers reported smoke spreading through the building. They saw what they perceived to be "the shooter armed with a rifle-like weapon", said the police statement.

Within around 10 minutes of the first alert, a specialist first-response team had arrived and entered the building.

Wiren told reporters that officers got the impression that "the shooting started being directed at police when they entered the school instead of students and staff".

After a "time-consuming search" of the partially smoke-filled premised which lasted about an hour, they found the suspected shooter "dead with several weapons next to him".

Officers also found 10 empty magazines at the site and "a large amount of unused ammunition" next to the suspected gunman, who had turned the gun on himself and was dead when police reached him.

That seems odd to me. Andersson was seen when they first arrived, and he presumably saw them because he opened fire on them... yet it took an hour of "time-consuming search[ing]" to locate him, at which point he was prone on the floor and surrounded by a veritable arsenal of weapons and ammunition.

What was that "specialist first response team" doing for an hour? Taking out the patsy and preparing the 'evidence'?

While the media is describing this as "the worst mass shooting ever in Sweden," it's anomalous in a country that has the highest gun-homicide rate in Europe:

Sweden has recently earned a reputation as the EU's gun homicide capital.

In all of 2023, 53 people were killed in shootings across Sweden, which is home to around 10.5 million people. In 2022, that figure stood at 62 - and Stockholm's per-capita murder rate was roughly 30 times that of London.

Experts say the violence has been driven by a number of factors: Turf wars between gangs, a growing drugs market, an influx of guns into the market, growing inequality, high level of immigration and also a failure of migrant integration into society.

Mafia groups abroad have called the country a 'haven' for their activities, while organised crime groups have infiltrated business sectors and found ways to smuggle military-grade weapons into the country.

"Military-grade weapons" don't find their way into a country without the security services, at the very least, turning a blind eye to it.

Swedish TV has reported that Andersson is heard on video shouting: "You will leave Europe!"
This has been discussed a lot on the Swedish forum called "Flashback Forum" (where everything and anything goes rampant, openly and at times crazy).

Yet - sometimes you do get some good thoughts where issues and inconsistencies are being pointed out. I noticed for example that most members who listened to the various videos and "sound enhanced" ones that later where uploaded... They all said: that it wasn't clear at all that somebody / the alleged murder said "get out of Europe" (leave Europe).

This is a creation - a real low water mark, by Swedish TV4 (which more recently has been bought up by the state owned Telia). The company is the only outlet of all Swedish MSM media, pushing the claim. So; it ain't certain at all that the murder really said "get out of Europe". But TV4 insist on it, because they love to pour gasoline into immigration related conflicts here in Sweden; Where "white" is bad, and "dark" is good. That is TV4's signature, so to speak. A woke disaster.

_______

It is said that the suspected murder lived on social welfare (Swe: "Socialbidrag") for over 10 years and practically never worked in his life. That in the last meeting with the social service staff, he got denied support.

_______

In total there were 130 police men at the shooting site. Nobody intervened for 2 hours during the shooting. Until the shooter was said to have taken his life. 🤔

_______

It was a large school and many rooms and corridors - in total 17000 square meters large.

_______

One thing strikes me...
Somebody (unknown) uploaded 78 photos of the proclaimed murder on a file sharing site. But that was 11 month (!) ago. Now if the murder was truly a very private, loner (he went to a school for Asberger**) - why would somebody share images of him (including when he was really young, like 12) ?!?

‘Rickard Andersson then studied at Wadköping Education Centre in Örebro. There he attended a special class for people with Asperger's and high-functioning autism, and got mixed grades. He passed aesthetic activities and history, but failed all other subjects.’

[this was confirmed by Dagens Nyheter, DN

‘DN has taken note of grading documents from Rickard Andersson's school days. During high school he attended a class called SPASP ... a special class for students with Asperger's syndrome and autism’ from DN 12:03 today, 6 Feb 2025.

Here is the location of the 78 images of Andersson (with previews)

One person wrote
an entry at the Flashback Forum, which i thought had an interesting twist:

"What happened in Örebro is terrible for everyone involved including the family of the shooter.

The more I read and hear on radio/TV the more ‘mysterious’ it becomes. New contradictory backgrounds about the shooter emerge daily it feels like.
Right now all focus is on the shooter. A real ghost it seems.

The odd thing is that they can't find a motive (nothing they have announced). Should there be some ‘letter’ or something?
If you plan suicide, it's common to leave something to relatives and if you do something as high profile as a shooting, you leave a manifesto if it's ideologically motivated.

Sure, it's Sweden's worst mass murder but with this attention other dormant potential psychos will be triggered.

A real twist in this sad tragedy is whether the suspected shooter R.A. is not the perpetrator but one of all the victims. That the real perpetrator arranged everything to baffle the investigators?

Not sure what to make out of that...

Nowadays I always keep one aspect in the back of my mind: that Sweden is now NATO land. And with that, it is all a go for anything to happen, whether real or fake - in order to sway opinions, achieve goals and fulfil secret agendas and God knows what else. As @Ricardo already mentioned; Gladio type of style is never ruled out.
