The Living Force
Somerset County, New Jersey - A warehouse fire at an industrial park that was first reported Thursday around 3:30 P.M. and was contained after 20 hours. The first two reports are on the fire. A third report, that surfaced on a local blog, at the beginning of the reported fire, states 700 voting booths are most likely destroyed information absent from other major news stories. Interesting, considering all the Elections going on in the Primaries?

HILLSBOROUGH TOWNSHIP, New Jersey (WABC) -- A fire at an industrial park in Somerset County that continues to burn more more than 21 hours after it ignited has been contained to two buildings.
Just before 3:30 p.m. Thursday, the blaze at the warehouse complex on U.S. 206 in Hillsborough Township broke out, raging on overnight and producing large plumes of smoke that could be seen for miles.
In addition to blustery winds and chilling temperatures, fire marshals said inadequate sprinkler systems and outdated water supplies made their job harder as the fire peaked at seven alarms.
Just what sparked the blaze inside these warehouses storing furniture, records, and plastic pellets is still unknown, but crews were able to contain the flames to just two buildings.

HILLSBOROUGH, N.J. — A massive warehouse fire in central New Jersey burning out of control for more than half a day has generated enough smoke to be detected by weather radar and forced some school closures.
Schools are closed Friday in Hillsborough because of the blaze that started around 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Veterans Industrial Park. Officials said Friday morning that the blaze is still not under control.
Fire officials say plastic pellets were being stored in most of the complex and environmental officials have been testing air quality. So far, they say the air is safe.
The 300,000-square-foot complex was once used to house old military munitions and is near historic Duke Farms. The estate that belonged to the late tobacco heiress Doris Duke has not been damaged.

An inferno is currently burning at an industrial park in Somerset County, New Jersey. I have been advised all of the counties 700 voting booths are most likely destroyed.
Former Bound Brook mayor, Carey Pilato had the following to say about what will happen if the voting booths are a total loss:
In my experience as a local chairman, council member and mayor, I have confidence in the board of elections and their contingency planning – they will be ready for the next election. I have known the board to be very responsive and proactive to ensuring the sanctity of voting in Somerset county. I have faith that The freeholder board will work diligently to provide what’s needed for the next election.
At this time there are no plans I am aware of to facilitate new voting booths. Everyone is concerned about what is important right now: containing the fire and keeping everyone safe.
One of the affected towns is Manville, New Jersey. Manville’s mayor, Richard Onderko told me the following about the fire:
Manville fire and rescue are on site along with many other towns. I pray all our first responders remain safe and that the fire will be under control soon.
The fire is thought to have claimed the voting booths is currently at 7 alarms and it is projected it will continue for most of the night. Residents in the area are asked to keep their windows closed and many are now without power.
It is being reported residents over 30 miles away from the fire can see the smoke.
The cause of the fire is still unknown. No injuries or deaths been reported.
