Meteor over NYC

I was out for a smoke in front of the apartment building I live in earlier this evening when I saw a bright fast-moving flash of light moving in an an easterly direction in the sky. The light it emitted petered out very quickly. If indeed it was a meteor or neo, then it is the first I have seen in New York City.

Just looked on google to see if it was seen by anyone else or possibly video recorded, but so far nothing.

Interesting site. They even categorize sightings by the concurrent sounds heard.

Went checking at this site earlier, but nothing reported. _http://lunarmeteoritehunters.blogspot.com/

Could very well be the same one, Leòmhann. I saw it at just around 7pm! I waited around a bit to see if it had any brothers or sisters, but nothing. Maybe it was the last of that grouping, or maybe it was of a different grouping from the ones in PA. Or maybe just a lone ranger.

I tell you something though, it brings the reality of these events home that much more.

Thank you for the info!
