The link to the article showed in the video is _http://www.iol.co.za/scitech/science/space/exploding-meteorite-seen-in-sa-sky-1.1485408

edit: In the report is says:
Company director John Houston captured part of the event on camera while he was driving on the N1 from Stellenbosch.

There was a “huge” explosion that left a white cloud close to the Durbanville hills, he said.

On Google Maps it appears that Durbanville is in northern Cape Town

Exploding Fireball over Capetown South Africa today

not much in depth reporting on it, but appears to have the long smoking tail like The Russian meteorite...anyone have a good video on it?

Hi ziggystarlust,

Post merged. :)

Thanx Vulcan59...there is discussion on the net that someone has a video but has not released it for unknown reasons. If it gets put up, We should find it fairly quickly. One would imagine that there are a few video cameras in Capetown that should have been positioned to film it-quite the coverup from SA!

Not sure how I missed this in the news but I live in Cape Town, I didn't see this or hear it mentioned last week personally.

I was inside all day at work though, so very little chance that I would have seen it.
