There appears to be no English website reporting this, but several german news websites do:

Short translation:
On Monday night this week many people in the area of Freiburg to Stuttgart (southern Germany) called an emergency line to report an UFO. Apparently it was a large "falling star" or meteorite. 'Experts' say that large meteorites like this one come down only every couple of years (it is unclear whether they mean just over Germany or in general). They say the meteorite flew from South to North and was visible for up to 5 seconds. Though if it was just 5 seconds would people call an emergency line and report an UFO?

Thanks for posting this. Even if reports of meterorites/UFOs are only in the language of your country of origin, I would encourage all SotT readers to post whatever they come across on this forum. It's invaluable that we develop as wide a spread as possible of all such events - the more data we have, the better we can plot the frequency of meterorites. Also, compiling a wider and more diverse spread of reports makes the urgency of the phenomenon much more credible and so should greatly assist alerting others to what's going on.

axj, I followed the links you posted; that's a very striking image posted with those reports...

Just to remind you. This is a picture from 2006 according to the given websites "(Archivbild von 2006)" but is probably a good example what we will see more often.

Another important piece of data is the trajectory. A South to North trajectory would be consistent with comet observations by SOHO and other instruments. It also ties in with unprecedented construction of observational equipment in Antarctica.
