It was either the 4th or 5th of August just a few weeks ago. I was going back home from a short bike ride about 10:00 pm. While riding west I saw what I believe to be a meteorite. It streaked across the western sky from north to south in 2 seconds or less. It was red in color with a long tail and very fast. If I had blinked I might have missed it. Too fast to take a picture even if I had one in my hand and pointed at the place in the sky where I had seen it. Also, about 7 years ago or so, while going for an evening walk after dark, I saw again what I believe to be meteorites. Three of them. Again they were in the western sky and moving from the north to the south. These were a lot slower. The first two of them were one behind the other and slightly above and behind the first. After walking for another five to ten minutes I saw a third one going from the north to south in the western sky. All three of these were quite larger and slower than the one I saw a few weeks ago. Just thought I would through another straw on the camels back with this. It's odd that I would see 4 of these things, all of them the same color in the same postion of the sky and all traveling in the same direction. Btw, I live in the midwest USA, greater KC area. I would be curious if just by chance anyone else saw the same thing as I did on that night and time?
