I'm sure I'm not the only person to notice this, but I thought I'd bring it up!
Movies always show asteroids/meteors entering the atmosphere and creating massive fireballs, yet the two most recent incidents we've seen (Russia and Argentina) both look more like a circuit being blown to me. That would seem to indicate it's a massive voltage differential that's destroying the meteor, not "friction with the atmosphere".
Now, I've been a big proponent of the Electric Universe theory for some time, so it's not so much shocking as it is darkly humorous.
So here's a question: If the Earth is an electromagnetic force, are all these meteors draining that energy? Don't know if that's significant or not.
