This family seems to be prepared,maybe we can learn something from them.

They live on a floating fortress, miles away from civilization
Wayne Adams and Catherine King created on the shores of Tofino in British Columbia (Canada) complete a self-sustaining floating home in which they live with two children


These Canadians fled from the city hustle and bustle in 1992 and have not regretted. Their floating home consists of 12 platform where the house and garden, and all is connected with wooden stairs. This colorful floating fortress itself produces electricity by ensuring through solar panels.

During the winter months collecting the rainwater to have drinking water in summer, collecting drinking water from the nearby waterfall. They have several greenhouses where grown fruits and vegetables throughout the year, and have even a lighthouse.

That lifestyle sounds idyllic, and when I watched the video I was really impressed with the amount of work they had put in, and how beautiful it all looked. Some people are just so clever.

He had several houses and cars, but one day all rejected and realized the pleasure of living without shoes, in the woods, with the adventurous spirit that leads him forward.
His life changed in 1991 by the decision to no longer wants to live in a modern society and are welcomed by the family, gave up everything he had and went into the woods where he was waiting for a new life.

yeah ;) I am also kind of working on my first million to trow ordinary life away and built my own heaven on earth :D ... just been ironical, as sure it is beautiful life, but when you have to live from day to day to provide for your family and you hardly have time to dust and vacuum clean your house, than this will permanently bee a dream, unless you can get community to create something like that where more people will work on it in different ways ... let's say community of around 15 capable skillful and good wiling mature individuals in their 30-40tis can do this, but you know how it is difficult to get a group of hones and trusting individuals to work on a big thing together ... eh ... but we will never lose the hope that we can make it! Old now almost ruined villages at Dalmatian Zagora seams to be that kind of small sort of tribal communities with up to 10 families moved to a place and decided to build up their own community with their own rules ...

And at the end of the day, it is not about saving your self or your family or your friends ... it is about to grow network of people who will work on their mindsets and programs to accept better and more human values in order to sustain human life on earth without war and suffering ... you remember the story when a little boy woke up all alone in the world ... how it was sad for him to realize that he is all alone ...

My dream is to live as who I am - a caveman hermit sourounded with the books and good internet connection ;).
