I took this picture tonight after noticing it while I let the dog out:

Seems awfully weird and there's a 'breath' that seems like it looks towards Mars????

Looks like a perfectly believable moon picture to me. Somewhat dramatic, but I've seen some dramatic moons.

Well, it is probably the shadow of the sun, that looks "strange" due to it being hidden behind the clouds. So, yeah, as others said, the image is probably "normal", because clouds and shadows can do all kind of tricks.

By the way, don't forget about supermoon on 14th of November!

Looks pretty normal to me. Probably the clouds between moon and your camera ( line of sight) happen to be thin, so moon is clear.
