Moon halo

Greetings, I don't know if I am writing in a right place, but at this moment I don't care. Something very strange happened at my location. Yesterday, when I went to look at the moon, it was during the midnight, I seen a very strange phenomenon. Picture a grey sky, moon, and then an arc away from the moon, but still around it. It looked weird, but it's nothing what I can see right this moment. After playing video games, I decided to step outside once again, I usually like to watch the sky from time to time, and what I see right now is really weird.Night time, grey sky, bright moon, white light around it, and around white light, there is a rainbow aura surrounding it. The colours I seen were like yellow, red, green, blue. It was hard to see other colours because of the strange clouds that look like waves moving. A pretty sight, but damn that is strange. Sadly right now while I am writing, it seems those colours are fading away. I took a photo on my old Nokia phone, but it shows nothing, since phone is old and only has 2 mega pixel camera. Just wanted to share this fresh experience I had 10 minutes ago.

In the past, on other forums and places, I have read how others have got up from playing games on their computers or Wii and then went outside to look around, only to come back to report weird visual phenomena. They also mentioned the same "fading." It seems the consensus at that time was that the individual simply took their after-images with them, because other people also recognized the descriptions - especially where the gaming experience was intense.

Maybe what you experienced was different, I don't know, but thanks for sharing. :)

My gaming experience wasn't intense at all during that time. I was kinda bored, playing a browse game called Town of Salem. There aren't many intense things going really, it is a social game.

I saw something similar last Tuesday night and then again the night before last I believe. A rainbow like aura or halo around the moon. The rainbow colors I saw were quite faint and mostly reddish. Anyway, I saw something similar last year and found this description online which might explain what you saw:
